Natural supplements are the new trend. Gone are things made from who knows what. These days programs on TV and magazines and the whole media is promoting "natural". But what is natural? Supplements are just that, they supplement our bodies for what we don't get in food. Here are my views on natural supplements and what you do and don't need to get a ripped body.
Here is what Wikipedia says about supplements.
Some countries define dietary supplements as foods, while in others they are defined as drugs.
Dietary Supplements
Drugs? Surely not. They are just supplementing our bodies for what we don't get in our diets. But how are they made? What are they coated in? How are they held together? Are all the ingredients lists true?
We would never know.
But one way to end the need for supplements is to eat a balanced diet... Or is that too much to ask?
Because if we just all ate a balanced diet of fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains etc then nobody would need supplements!
However I realise that some people are allergic to certain things or certain foods may not be easy to come by in their geographic location, so supplements do have their place.
A few supplements that can be quite good are:
- Fish oil (Omega 3, 6 and 9 all in one)
- A good multivitamin such as anything by Country Life
Anything else is probably just a waste of money unless you have been tested for deficiencies and need that certain mineral or vitamin.
